Readers generally found The Coworker to be an engaging, twist-driven psychological thriller, though it was not considered one of Freida McFadden’s strongest books by everyone. Many praised its tense atmosphere, short chapters, accessible writing, and strong “just one more chapter” momentum. The alternating perspectives and email-based sections were also appreciated for gradually adding layers to the mystery.
Opinions were more divided on the characters, with several readers finding them difficult to like or connect with, while others enjoyed their complexity and emotional impact. Some felt the twists were predictable or that the pacing became slow in the middle, and the repeated focus on turtles was amusing to a few but irritating or excessive to many others. Readers who enjoy fast, melodramatic thrillers with unreliable characters and frequent surprises will likely find The Coworker an entertaining, easy-to-read choice.
Ez a könyv elvette az életkedvem. 😂 Nem számítottam rá, hogy ennyire unalmas lesz. Végigvonszoltam magam Dawn teknős mániáján is, mert gondoltam nagyon fontos lesz a karakter miatt... Hagyjuk. 😂
