Olvasói vélemények összefoglalója
Readers largely regard Mr Mercedes as a dark, tense, and highly readable crime thriller, with many praising its psychological depth and emotional intensity. The cat-and-mouse dynamic keeps the suspense high, while the grounded menace gives the story an unsettling atmosphere without relying on supernatural elements.
The characters’ fears, motives, and emotional wounds are often seen as convincingly developed, and readers also appreciate King’s sharp humor, grotesque touches, and engaging prose. Some found the opening slow or initially difficult to get into, and a few felt that aspects of the execution, including the resolution, were rushed or reliant on familiar clichés. Overall, Mr Mercedes is especially likely to appeal to readers who enjoy character-driven investigations, escalating tension, and darker contemporary thrillers.

Mr. Mercedes
Stephen King
