Olvasói vélemények összefoglalója

Readers overwhelmingly describe Archer's Voice as a deeply emotional and memorable romance, praising its tenderness, heartfelt writing, and ability to inspire both tears and smiles. Many were especially drawn to Archer, finding him sympathetic, distinctive, and compelling, while Bree’s determination and the gradual development of their connection also received frequent praise. The relationship’s emphasis on patience, support, communication, and personal healing resonated strongly with readers.

The small-town atmosphere, realistic dialogue, and carefully revealed character backgrounds added to the book’s appeal, although some readers felt the pacing became too focused on emotional material or wished for more dynamic interactions. A few found the romance predictable, Bree difficult to understand, or certain supporting characters insufficiently developed, and one reader criticized some of the genre conventions surrounding the story. Overall, Archer's Voice is most likely to appeal to readers who enjoy heartfelt, slow-building contemporary romance with wounded characters, strong emotional themes, and an ultimately uplifting reading experience.

Itt találkozik Archerrel, a titokzatos, magányosan élő, néma fiúval, akit a környezete szinte láthatatlanként kezel.

A végére természetesen sikerült teljesen kikészítenie.

I decided to read this book because the story seemed interesting and I went into it with high hopes seeing all of these positive reviews. The first chapters were honestly really good and genuinely made me really excited to read it. It started off strong with Archer's flashback about his childhood, which is easily the best written part of the book. Unfortunately, the story went downhill fast and the execution fell short on multiple levels.

What I liked:
As I said the Archer's flashback were pretty well written and interesting.
Archer as a character was the most believable and realistic character, which honestly says a lot about the rest of the characters.

What I didn't like:
Bree was a frustrating character, and I didn't understand her. I didn't find her believable at all. Perhaps if the author made her to be a happy-go-lucky person and not a trauma survivor I could have understood her personality better, but like this her actions and behaviour were confusing and superficial. She also isn't the best human being since she calls Archer a "local mute loner", even if that was an internal thought it still felt very rude and further ruined Bree's character.
Travis is a cartoonish villain that didn't deserve his redemption arc. I think if we could have explored the dynamic between Travis and Archer a lot more, and if we got to know Travis more in depth, the redemption would have made sense, but unfortunately, we didn't get that.
The stripper scene is one of the worst scenes in the books and it also doesn't add anything to the story or character depth, it simply feels disgusting.
The writing style is lacking. I found it incredibly off putting that everyone in this book kept smiling for no reason at all. I swear the author repeats "she smiled/he smiled" every two sentences. It's absurd how characters laugh or smile even when they're sad - there was a scene where Bree had tears in her eyes during an emotional moment, yet she still laughed. It feels completely unnatural and takes you out of the story. Similar to this the author also uses "tilts their head" and "breaths out" WAY TOO MUCH. It's like these phrases are used to express every emotion, but they really don't work for everything.
The smut, although decently written, feels very random and a bit much. I think we could have done without the scene at the end, I feel like it was done just to add some more words to the book.

All that being said, even if the book started off well it slowly became a frustrating read and I was very close to drop it.
